NastyNastyNastyNasty

Nasty Nasty has just put a ‘fresh as tomorrows socks mix’ of his own productions. I personally cannot wait to get my hands on some of these tunes. 22 Minutes of future lazer shit. Some of the coolest dubstep tempo stuff I’ve heard for a while, although I dont really weant to call it dubstep.

Grab it from his soundcloud here or the SF Weekly Blog he made it for here.

Abundance’s effect on music enjoyment

Great article up on Music Think Tank about how the recent over-abundance of music (think iPod, filesharing, Spotify) is tarnishing our ability to enjoy music. One of the key ideas is that were becoming so concerned about what to play next that were not actually listening or enjoying the music, and with increasingly swollen music collections the opportunity cost of choosing a track is leaving us increasingly dissatisfied with our choices.

Deftones – Prince (Bassnectar Remix)

Bassnectar has just threw up quite a nice cheeky Bootleg of Deftones – Prince on his website for download here. Second drop is particularly heavy, sounds exactly how you’d expect from him, on a similar tip to his Seek and Destroy bootleg he put out recently. Mans smashing it presently.

EP’motherfucking’ROM

New Mixtape from Eprom, ‘RobotSexTape’. Last years mix still gets regular runs through my head now and this is packing just as much glitched clean wonked up goodness, if not more. So get on it now.

Only an idiot would’t grab it

BBC – Synth Britania

Just caught this great documentary on the history of British synth music. With contributors such as Philip Oakey, Vince Clarke, Martin Gore, Bernard Sumner, Gary Numan and Neil Tennant all having a say. It’s well worth a watch.
